                           Chained Dreams

Away from the city dust

Breaking through the chaos and clamour

Off she desires to go

To the tranquil and serene rurals

To the place far off from town

To live life for once

Off she desires to go

For self and for pleasure

To breathe the air from the meadow

To pick the crop and enjoy the weather

Off she wishes to go

Breaking through the clutches that hold onto her

To splash through the flowing water

And bathe, in the stream passing by

Off she wants to go

Out of the city dust

Waking up to hear the chirp of birds

Walking out to watch the farmer toil

Off she wants to go

Feeling the cool breeze past her skin and long blonde hair

And smelling the flowers that bloom..

But there she stands, locked up in a cage

Where her wings are cut and when she dared to fly

There she stands along the window pane

Watching the birds fly and the bees bumble by

'Cause her feet are tied and her hands are fastened'

She stands on the grave of her dreams

Her shadow shouts a torment scream.

But helpless she's fallen out there

She tried to fly but her wings were not there.
